Aldi, the international supermarket chain, has extended its partnership with Team GB, the body behind the Olympic team from Great Britain and Northern Ireland, through to 2032.

As part of the deal extension, Aldi will be supporting Team GB athletes as they work towards the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, Los Angeles 2028, the Winter Olympics in 2030, and Brisbane 2032.

The partnership will see Aldi continue its program where it provides athletes with monthly vouchers for food shopping. Aldi claims that the initiative has supported over 1,000 athletes in the last four years.

Additionally, Aldi and Team GB will continue their 'Get Set to Eat Fresh' initiative, a free, school-based education program.

Aldi, the official supermarket of Team GB since 2015, will see the latest extension take the partnership to 17 years.

Aldi’s athlete ambassadors for 2024 include Team GB athletes Max Whitlock in gymnastics, Helen Glover in rowing, Emily Campbell in weightlifting, Delicious Orie in boxing, Kieran Reilly in BMX freestyle, and Duncan Scott in swimming.

The supermarket chain has partnered with the British Olympic Association for almost a decade, and its Team GB partnership was expanded to include the British Paralympic Association in 2022.

Last month, meanwhile, TikTok unveiled a new partnership with Team GB and ParalympicsGB, making it an official partner of both organizations in advance of the Paris Olympics and Paralympics in the French capital later this year.

This new tie-up builds on several previous partnerships between the video platforms, including at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
