StarHub, the telecoms and cable operator in Singapore, has acquired rights to mixed martial arts’ Ultimate Fighting Championship.

From 1 October, UFC action will be available to StarHub Sports+ subscribers in the country live and on-demand.

Users will have access to 42 UFC events via the Hub Sports 2 channel across multiple devices, including on mobile phones through the StarHub TV+ app and smart TVs.

All 30 UFC ‘Fight Nights’ and 12 pay-per-view events will be aired on Hub Sports 2.

Starhub’s coverage begins on 3 October, with the bout between Thiago Santos and Johnny Walker in Las Vegas and subscribers will have access to over 200 hours of UFC content for the remainder of the year.  

UFC will also be made available to existing Sports Pass customers at no extra cost, while new customers can sign up for S$20 per month ($15).

UFC content will add to the telecoms firm’s vast sports portfolio, which includes European soccer’s Uefa Champions League and Uefa Europa League, German Bundesliga, Spanish La Liga and French Ligue 1, golf’s European Tour, Asian Tour, Ryder Cup and LPGA, basketball’s NBA, and tennis’ ATP and WTA.
