Sports production and live streaming firm Sportway Media Group (SMG) has acquired sports-focused direct-to-consumer (DTC) video tech company Sportall through its Sportway content and data management arm.

Sportall, which is based in Paris, France, will continue to operate under Sportway’s French business but will integrate its OTT streaming solutions across Sportway’s product portfolio to enhance its offering.

This acquisition will not only allow Sportway access to Sportall’s DTC technology but also its livestreaming software and fan engagement tools.

It will also enter Sportway into several new industries via Sportall’s substantial partnership portfolio.

A wide-ranging streaming and distribution platform, Sportall already has partnerships with a number of prominent sports properties, including the FIA World Endurance Championship, the Association of National Olympic Committees, and World Squash.
