The Spanish Soccer Federation (RFEF) has hired sports marketing agency Sportfive to lead the sale of international rights for the women’s Copa de la Reina knockout cup competition as it continues to pursue international visibility for the next cycle.

The partnership, which runs through 2030, follows the RFEF's invitation for bids on the international broadcast rights to both the Copa de la Reina and the Supercopa de España Femenina tournament for the 2025-26 to 2027-28 seasons, which Sportfive will oversee.

The Supercopa de España Femenina tournament features four teams: the winners and runners-up of the Copa de la Reina, along with the remaining highest-ranked teams from the top-tier Liga F.

Bids have been invited for Lot A, Lot B, or both, with the international signal to be provided by RFEF or its production partner. It has been stipulated that the federation and clubs will be able to stream matches 24 hours after the final whistle.

The new partnership comes three months after the RFEF announced former Real Madrid executive Ramón Plaza Bautista to head up its commercial operations.

He has since secured insurance firm Mapfre as the first-ever title sponsor of the men’s Copa del Rey and the final of the Copa del la Reina and overseen the renewal of Spanish car manufacturer Seat’s long-standing sponsorship of both competitions.

Women's soccer giants Barcelona won the 2024-25 Copa de la Reina, beating Atletico Madrid 2-0 in the final.
