German sports-focused broadcaster Sportdigital has bolstered its burgeoning global soccer rights portfolio with the addition of another continental club tournament, North America’s Concacaf Champions Cup.
Sportdigital will showcase as many as 15 games from the remainder of the 51-game knockout tournament, exclusively on the Sportdigital1+ pay-tv channel. This will begin with two first knockout round games, which have been revealed as both installments of the two-legged tie between Canada’s Vancouver Whitecaps of Major League Soccer and Costa Rica’s CS Cartaginés of the country’s Primera Division.

That matchup, taking place on February 19 and 26, is notable due to the presence of form Bayern Munich and German national team icon Thomas Müller, who departed the German top-flight Bundesliga for the Whitecaps in 2025.
Also competing in the tournament are former German national team stalwart Marco Reus (LA Galaxy) and German-born MLS star Hany Mukhtar (Nashville SC), as well as other notable former Bundesliga players, both German – Sebastian Schonlau (Vancouver Whitecaps), Erik Thommy (LA Galaxy) – and otherwise – Son Heung-Min and Timothy Tillman (LAFC).
The Concacaf Champions League will run through its showpiece final on May 30.
For Sportdigital, this agreement adds to a portfolio of global continental ‘Champions League’ competitions that also include Asia’s AFC Champions League Elite and South America’s iconic Conmebol Copa Libertadores.

In addition to our broadcasts of the AFC Champions League Elite and the CONMEBOL Libertadores, the tournament is now the third Champions League competition in the Sportdigital1+ programme and is therefore very good news for our viewers and platform partners."
Other prominent soccer rights held by the platform include the domestic top-flights of Brazil (Serie A), the Netherlands (Eredivisie), Saudi Arabia (Saudi Pro League), Poland (Ekstraklasa), and English women’s soccer (WSL).
Sportdigital also recently extended its deal to show Spain's Supercopa competition for another three seasons.
In terms of its dealings with the Concacaf body, Sportdigital broadcast the 2025 Gold CUp national team tournament, having previously aired the 2025 edition also, illustrating the pair's existing relationship.
