SkyPerfecTV, the Japanese pay-television broadcaster, has partnered with Endeavor Streaming, a subsidiary of the international entertainment agency giant, to launch a new OTT platform for its coverage of German soccer’s Bundesliga.

Endeavor Streaming will serve as the official streaming provider for SkyPerfecTV’s new SPTV Bundesliga LIVE service.

The SPTV Bundesliga LIVE platform will be available to SPTV subscribers as part of their TV bundle and to non-SPTV subscribers through additional streaming subscription packages.

The service is available on desktop, iOS and Android devices, with Chromecast and Airplay compatibility.

The OTT offering allows customers to watch live games and video-on-demand catch-up content localised to Japanese. Viewers can also interact with real-time data overlays.

SkyPerfecTV renewed its rights to the Bundesliga in Japan for a further five seasons last year under a deal with Bundesliga International, the league’s worldwide commercial rights sales arm.

The pay-TV operator shows exclusive live, delayed and replay coverage of more than 200 matches per season from the Bundesliga and second-tier 2. Bundesliga.

The contract also includes the DFL Supercup, the season opener, and promotion and relegation play-off matches.

Sky PerfecTV has been showing the German top-flight since the 2018-19 season.

Earlier this month, Endeavor Streaming launched a new OTT platform on behalf of the OSV, the Austrian ski federation, and recently provided a streaming service for the International Cricket Council.

The Endeavor arm offers a variety of prominent live sports events and premium services in multiple markets, including WWE’s WrestleMania and WWE Network, UFC shows and the UFC Fight Pass, Glory kickboxing events, NBA League Pass, Univision Now and PrendeTV.
