This partnership, which will begin immediately and run for three seasons, will also see Smarkets serve as an official partner of the Great Britain SailGP team, known as Emirates Great Britain.
The pair will activate both in-person around SailGP events, most likely the annual Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix in Portsmouth, England, and via their respective social media and digital channels.
Speaking on the deal, Smarkets founder and chief executive Jasson Trost said: “SailGP is a data-rich, high-performance sport, and that’s exactly where exchange betting thrives. At Smarkets, prices are driven by real-time information and competition between participants, not bookmaker margins. This partnership brings a sharper, more transparent way to bet to fans across the UK, Ireland, and Sweden.”
This is the first time that SailGP has partnered with a betting company, although the series did first enter sports betting as a sector in June 2025, offering odds and markets around its New York Sail Grand Prix.

“By working with Smarkets, we’re able to use the sophisticated real-time data behind SailGP to unlock new ways for fans to engage with the competition, while continuing to grow the championship around the world.”
