The Rugby Australia (RA) governing body has agreed a new kit supply deal with UK sportswear brand Castore until at least the end of 2030.
Through the five-year deal, described as a multimillion-dollar agreement, Castore has been appointed as the official technical kit partner to Rugby Australia across all national teams and pathways programs.

The new agreement will see the Wallabies, Wallaroos, Australian men’s and women’s sevens teams, and Australian Pathways teams wear Castore-issued sportswear from January 2026.
Notably, Castore will be the official supplier for the Wallabies and Wallaroos for their respective home Rugby World Cups in 2027 and 2029.
The partnership with the UK brand ends Australia’s 12-year relationship with Asics, which supplied all the organisation’s representative teams, including the Wallaroos and Wallabies.
GlobalData Sport valued the most recent Asics deal at $4 million per year.

By GlobalDataLast year, Castore signed a long-term kit supply deal with England’s Rugby Football Union to supply its national teams.
The Manchester-based firm is reportedly paying England Rugby more than £5 million ($6.8 million) a season. RA’s deal is understood to be higher and makes it the largest kit deal in the organization’s history.
The Australia Sevens teams will be the first national sides to wear the new Castore strip at the Singapore SVNS tournament from January 31, followed by their home debut at the Perth SVNS at HBF Park from February 7.
Castore will supply match kits, training wear, and travel apparel with a “fully integrated retail operation serving fans in Australia and around the world.”
The Rugby Australia deal adds another major sports property to Castore’s portfolio, which includes the Red Bull Racing and Alpine Formula 1 teams, English soccer club Everton, and the England and Wales Cricket Board.
However, the brand this week lost its contract with the McLaren F1 team, which switched to German sportswear giant Puma.
Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh said: “Rugby Australia is thrilled to be partnering with Castore for at least the next five years. “We’re aligning with a brand that shares our high-performance mindset and can deliver genuine innovation for our athletes and supporters.
“From the Wallabies, Wallaroos and Sevens programs to our pathways system and community game, this partnership strengthens every layer of our sport and puts the fan experience at the centre.”
