International sailing series SailGP has renewed its commercial deal with mineral wool products firm Rockwool through 2032.

A multi-year extension has been struck, through which Rockwool continues as the title partner of Denmark's SailGP outfit, known as the Rockwool Racing SailGP Team, for the next seven years.

Rockwool has title-sponsored that side since it was launched in late 2019.

The extension also means Rockwool will act as the title sponsor of the Germany Sail Grand Prix next season, with that event to take place between August 22 and 23, 2026.

Since 2021, the brand has put its name to five Sail Grands Prix across Denmark, Italy, Canada, and France.

The last SailGP-Rockwool extension was unveiled in mid-2023, running across the 2023-26 cycle.

Andrew Thompson, SailGP's managing director, has said: "Rockwool's belief in our vision has helped shape SailGP’s evolution into a truly global, high-performance championship. Their renewed commitment through 2032 speaks to the strength of what we’ve created together – a world-class team, an ambitious activation program and a partnership that drives meaningful value on and off the water."

In terms of SailGP commercial activity, earlier this week, Hongqi, a Chinese luxury vehicle brand, was unveiled as a partner of the 2025 Grand Final in Abu Dhabi this coming weekend.

This deal brings SailGP its first major commercial partner from China.

Rolex, meanwhile, is the series's overall title sponsor through a decade-long deal announced last November.

Mirella Vitale, senior vice president for marketing, communications, and public affairs at Rockwool, added: "Together with SailGP, we’ve created a global platform that delivers real commercial impact in our key markets – driving awareness of our business, enabling thousands of Rockwool guests to experience racing first-hand, and engaging employees across 38 countries.”

For the 2026 SailGP campaign, the action gets underway in mid-January in Perth, Australia.
