French soccer club RC Lens, recent winners of the 2025-26 Coupe de France, have confirmed German sportswear brand Adidas as their new kit supplier from the 2026-27 season, with Auchan to remain as front-of-shirt partner for the next five years.

The news was confirmed yesterday when Lens unveiled their new home kit for the 2026-27 season, designed by Adidas, marking a return of the German sportswear giant as the club’s kit supplier after a 12-year absence.

According to French sports news outlet L’Equipe, the new deal between Adidas and Lens spans five years, with Adidas having previously held the designation from 1975 to 1994 and from 2011 to 2014.

As part of the partnership, Lens said Adidas will “contribute to the development of the club’s merchandising activities by expanding its sportswear and lifestyle ranges” and, for the first time, release a women’s version of the club’s official jersey.

Adidas succeeds rival German sportswear brand Puma, which served as the club’s kit sponsor under a five-year deal from 2021-22 to 2025-26.

After Adidas’ latter stint, Umbro held the designation in a four-year deal running from 2014-15 to 2017-18 before Italian brand Macron took over in a three-year deal from 2018-19 to 2020-21.

The confirmation of the club’s new kit supplier coincides with the club renewing their front-of-shirt agreement with French retail giant Auchan for another five years.

The renewal sees Auchan’s logo continue to feature on the front of the Lens jersey through the 2030-31 season.

The renewal builds on the pair’s nearly 50-year relationship, with Auchan first taking on primary shirt sponsorship in 2016.

RC Lens chief executive said: “This extension, even as we celebrate ten consecutive seasons of collaboration this year, testifies to the strength of the ties built over time between our two institutions, but also to a shared vision driven by values deeply rooted in our region.

“This extension is not solely based on sporting results. It rests above all on the quality of the human relationships cultivated over many years, on a genuine commitment to the region, and on the daily involvement of those who bring this partnership to life within both the group and the club. Beyond visibility, it is a shared history, common values, and mutual trust that unite us.”

The deal was brokered by sports marketing agency Sportfive, which has served as the Ligue 1 club’s exclusive commercial agency since 2008, with the partnership most recently renewed in 2023.

The two deals come off the back of a successful season for Lens, having finished second in the top-tier men’s Ligue 1 competition and winning their first domestic Coupe de France trophy after beating Nice 3-1 at the Stade de France last month.

As runners-up in Ligue 1, the club has qualified to compete in Europe’s top-tier Champions League competition next season.
