The NRMA Insurance firm has extended its partnership with governing body Cricket Australia (CA), expanding its naming rights agreement to cover both the men’s and women’s national test teams.

Under the extension, NRMA, backed by local insurance giant IAG, retains the naming rights for all men’s test action in Australia for another six seasons, having first secured the rights in 2022.

The new deal also includes NRMA Insurance becoming the naming rights partner of the Women’s International Series, which includes Women’s Test matches, Women’s One-Day International matches, and Women’s T20 International matches for the next seven seasons.

The firm will also continue as the official insurance partner of both the men’s and women’s national representative teams in a top-level platinum partnership.

The pair’s original deal in 2022 saw NRMA replace telecommunications giant Vodafone as the naming rights partner for the men’s test side. Vodafone had taken up that role in September 2020, itself replacing online real estate company Domain.

The expansion comes as Cricket Australia continues to bolster its commercial portfolio after appointing experienced marketing executive Ed Sanders as chief commercial officer earlier this year.

In July, the governing body secured Australian bank Westpac as its new principal partner, with the bank's logo now featured on match shirts worn by the country’s men’s and women’s national teams.

Under that deal, Westpac also became a partner of the domestic Big Bash and Women's Big Bash T20 leagues.

Other current commercial partnerships include automotive brand Toyota Australia, which sponsors the highest-profile cricket in Australia through the 2028-29 season, as well as Qantas, Aussie Broadband, Woolworths, Weber, KFC, and Bet365.
