McLaren is likely to enter the 2026 season as the two-time consecutive F1 Constructors Champions, with drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris the firm favorites to win the 2025 Drivers Championship, also dominating the field across the current season.

Motul has a long-standing affiliation with motorsports and sponsored both the Williams and BRFM F1 teams in the 1970s, but has been away from the category for several years, with this McLaren deal marking its return to the elite series.

More recently, the brand has been active in the likes of endurance racing with the 24H of Le Mans race, alongside various other championships, as well as in motorcycling, where it is title sponsor of the FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK).

Elsewhere in F1, luxury watch brand Tag Heuer has strengthened its affiliation with the category, taking up title sponsorship of the Spanish Grand Prix from 2026 onwards.

The 2026 edition of the race, which will mark its debut in Madrid, will now be called the Formula 1 Tag Heuer Gran Premio de Madrid, with the renowned watch brand gaining prominent sponsorship inventory across the race (which will be held on a street circuit).

This is the second F1 title sponsorship Tag Heuer has agreed to in 2025, after the brand also became the first-ever title sponsor of the iconic Monaco Grand Prix.

This deal is an extension of the firm’s recent appointment to the role of official timekeeper of F1, which itself stems from LVMH’s wide-ranging F1 tie-up, announced in early October 2024, that has seen a myriad of the company’s luxury brands brought in as partners of the series.

Aside from its ongoing tie-up with the Red Bull F1 team, TAG Heuer is also a partner of the Formula E electric motor racing series.
