Esports organisation Motorsport Games has appointed Peter Moore to its board of directors.

He currently serves as senior vice president and general manager of sports and live entertainment at Unity Technologies, the US-based video games developer.

Moore, who brings over 30 years of experience to the role, will succeed Rob Dyrdek, who is stepping down from the role but remaining with the company as a member of the advisory board.

Previously, Moore was chief executive of Liverpool FC, of English soccer’s top-tier Premier League, from 2017 to 2020, where he was responsible in the 2019-20 season for leading the club to its first league title in 30 years.

Other roles Moore has held include various positions at Electronic Arts, the video games developer, where he led the competition gaming division and assisted with global competitions with the likes of Fifa, Madden NFL and Battlefield.

The announcement comes following a year of significant growth for Motorsport Games, with it having acquired Studio 397 and KartKraft, as well as negotiated partnerships with Indycar and ACO.
