Motorola Solutions, the US online safety and software giant, has partnered with the PGA of America and Ryder Cup Europe golfing bodies to sponsor the showpiece Ryder Cup team golf tournament ahead of its 2025 edition.

Serving as the official safety technology supplier of the Ryder Cup, Motorola Solutions will support the 2025 and 2027 editions of the event through the provision of two-way radio sets and AI-powered security cameras to the relevant event and security teams.

Motorola Solutions radios will also be provided to Team Europe and Team USA to enhance on-course communication between team members.

The 2025 Ryder Cup will take place at Bethpage in New York from September 25 to 28, and the 2027 edition at Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland, from September 13 to 19.

Motorola Solutions becomes the latest in a string of partners for the event, including Rolex, BMW, DP World, Citi, Aon, and Capgemini, all of which are top-line sponsors.

Most recently, multinational software company SAP became the seventh top-line worldwide partner of the Ryder Cup, receiving brand visibility at each event through on-course branding, global television advertising, and in the Ryder Cup Village through fan-focused experiences.

Other commercial activity surrounding the 2025 Ryder Cup includes the addition of new partnerships with spirits and beverage distiller Sugarlands and local healthcare provider Northwell, while logistics heavyweight DP World extended through the 2027 edition.

The 2025 edition of the Ryder Cup will be the first where players on the US team will be paid for competing.

In December, the PGA of America announced that each of the 12 team members and the captain will receive $500,000, $200,000 of which is a personal stipend for their participation, while the remaining $300,000 is for the players to donate to a charity or charities of their choosing.

The $200,000 stipend is separate from player expenses, and for the first time, the players will have a full say over what happens to it.
