American Cricket Enterprises, the commercial rights holder and organizer of the US’ annual T20 Major League Cricket (MLC) tournament, has announced a new partnership with ticketing technology firm Secutix.

Secutix was selected by ACE and MLC’s title sponsor, Cognizant, the data technology and business services firm, following a tender process, and will implement, manage, and support a fully integrated ticketing system for the league and affiliated competitions.

The agreement with Secutix includes implementation of the company’s S-360 online sales platform and its mobile ticketing tool, S-Mobile, as well as core primary and secondary ticketing to manage the league’s needs across multiple stadiums and tournaments to improve fan experiences.

Michael McDermott, Secutix general manager of the Americas, said: “Sports organizations are entering a new era where value is created not just through tickets, but through understanding the experiences that bring fans closer to the heart of the game.

“Unlocking this future requires real-time intelligence and direct fan relationships that allow leagues to innovate boldly and scale sustainably. At Secutix, we’re building the foundation that empowers leading sports organizations to reimagine the fan journey and shape the next decade of growth.”

Secutix has a growing list of sports partners, including European soccer’s UEFA governing body and a tie-up with the England and Wales Cricket Board to support the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup tournament, which will take place across the country in 2026.

In England, the firm is partnered with all but one of the ECB’s division one counties, and in addition supports the body’s The Hundred short-form competition, while internationally, Secutix partnered with the ICC’s Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup last year.

MLC, meanwhile, launched in 2023 and is the only domestic cricket tournament in the US sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) governing body.

According to ACE, the competition has seen strong growth, with the 2025 season setting new records for ticket sales, broadcast reach, and digital engagement – all positive developments as cricket prepares to return to the Olympic Games after a 128-year absence at the 2028 edition in Los Angeles.

Last April, it was announced that the cricket events at LA28 will take place at a temporary venue in Pomona, east of Los Angeles.

However, it has not all been smooth sailing for the sport in the US, with the embattled USA Cricket body hitting the headlines over its fallout with ACE and the ICC.

Most recently, the ICC suspended USA Cricket’s membership over its feud ACE in September, citing “repeated and continued breaches” of its constitution, including a failure to “implement a functional governance structure,” as well as the lack of progress in its efforts to be recognized by the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) as a national governing body ahead of the sport’s return at LA28.

The ICC’s normalization committee is currently in consultation with USA Cricket on the process to see the suspension lifted, including the specific changes necessary to its governance structure and the overall cricketing landscape in the country.

Despite the suspension, the ICC has said that the US men’s and women’s national teams will still be able to compete in international competition through the suspension, including in lead-up games ahead of LA28, with their administration to be overseen by the ICC itself (or selected representatives).

The move came after USA Cricket attempted to terminate its contract with ACE, citing “multiple material breaches" of the term sheet agreement that those two parties formally signed in May 2019. That agreement was meant to be a 50-year tie-up but has instead spanned only the first three seasons of the six-team MLC.

USA Cricket has said that ACE "has failed to fulfil its contractual and fiduciary obligations," and has alleged that the breaches were in the areas of "financial commitments, infrastructure development, organizational structure, and governance responsibilities."

However, ACE rejected the allegations laid against it and has instead called the contract termination "unlawful," also stating that it has "fully complied" with the various contractual requirements.

In its own statement, ACE asserted: "ACE views USAC's improper conduct as nothing more than a cynical attempt to serve personal and political agendas, at the expense of the U.S. cricket community."

The ICC’s suspension of USA Cricket has allowed ACE to continue organizing MLC under its contract.

The ICC has been making a concerted effort to boost cricket's profile in the US for the last few years, and a significant proportion of games from the 2024 men's T20 World Cup were held in the country – across Florida, Texas, and New York.
