Boxxer, the UK-based boxing promotion, has announced the appointment of Paulie Malignaggi and Daniel Stewart into two new leading roles.
Malignaggi, the former boxer, will assume the positions of both chief boxing analyst and media relations, role in which he will lead the “media activity and coverage of Boxxer’s fight schedule”, starting with its events on 20 November and 11 December.
Of his appointment, Malignaggi said: “Having worked with Boxxer from its embryonic stages, it’s been an invigorating thrill to watch the company grow from being just an idea to becoming the major promotion with a significant TV deal that it is today.”
Stewart, meanwhile, best known as a social media and boxing personality, will take up the role of media relations UK, leading its media activities alongside Boxxer’s founder Ben Shalom.
Stewart said: “The media relations role with Boxxer is a huge moment for me, but it’s a step I’ve been ready and waiting for. What Boxxer has achieved in such a short space of time has been nothing short of phenomenal and it’s going to be a very exciting time ahead.”
Malignaggi and Stewart already work together presenting a Boxxer podcast called Mouthpiece: The Home Of Unfiltered Boxing.
