Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has taken on title sponsorship rights for a revamped global series of five women’s golf events on the Ladies European Tour (LET).

The newly named PIF Global Series will feature five tournaments across three continents in 2025, with each event featuring both team and individual competitions, and a prize purse of $2 million for four of the tournaments.

The fifth tournament, the PIF Saudi Ladies International, has been added to the 2025 roster of events, offering a prize pot of $5 million, one of the largest in women’s professional golf.

The five events include the PIF Saudi Ladies International at Riyadh Golf Club, which took place in February, the upcoming Aramco Korea Championship in Seoul, taking place from May 9 to 11, and the PIF Championship at the Centurion Club in London from August 8 to 10.

These are followed by the Aramco Houston Championship in September and the Aramco Shenzhen Championship in the Chinese city in November.

Alexandra Armas, chief executive of the LET, said: “These tournaments are well-supported by our members through their end-to-end event experiences and competitive environments.

“This partnership with PIF continues to raise the level of competition and commitment to the women’s game, to ensure our players have the best possible opportunities to develop and succeed on the world stage.”

The deal furthers the PIF’s involvement and investment in the sport, having famously controversially launched the LIV Golf professional men’s golf tour in 2022, with reports suggesting that PIF is nearing $5 billion in spending on the three-year-old league as of May 5.
