Legends/ASM Global, the premium live experiences company, has renewed its long-standing deal to manage Paycom Center, home to the Oklahoma City Thunder NBA basketball franchise, for an additional eight years.
The new deal extends the company’s 25-year partnership with the City of Oklahoma City.
As part of the extended agreement, Legends/ASM Global will continue to manage the current Paycom Center for the next three years. The deal also includes management of the new Paycom Center for five years after its scheduled 2028 opening.
Legends/ASM Global’s longstanding relationship with the city began with its management of the then Myriad Convention Center in 2000, as well as the opening of the Paycom Center (formerly the Ford Center) in 2002.
Paycom Center currently hosts the Thunder and Oklahoma City Blue games and previously served as home to the Oklahoma City Blazers (Central Hockey League), Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (Arena Football League), and the New Orleans Hornets (during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 NBA seasons while displaced from Hurricane Katrina).
Doug Thornton, Legends/ASM Global president of North American venues, said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time in Oklahoma City. Leveraging Legends/ASM Global’s expertise and experience, Paycom Center and the new Paycom Center will continue to be the premier event destination in the region for years to come.”
