Aviation taxi brand Archer has signed up as a commercial partner of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, US.

Through the deal, Archer becomes the air taxi provider of the event, and also of the Team USA organization.

The organizers of the Olympics, and Team USA, will integrate Archer's Midnight eVTOL aircraft across the games, including as a way of transporting VIP guests, fans, and stakeholders, as well as a way of "providing support for emergency services and security."

The Midnight vehicle is a piloted electric air taxi, which Archer is looking to break out as a mainstream transportation service.

The planned Archer network across Los Angeles includes 'vertiport' take-off and landing areas, to be serviced by Midnight air taxis, at several of the key Olympic venues, including the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the stadium in Inglewood that will be used. Other destinations will include "critical visitor hubs" such as Los Angeles International Airport.

In addition, this tie-up includes Archer being given brand access to coverage of the Olympics and Paralympics – both the 2026 and 2028 editions – on domestic broadcaster NBCUniversal, including across the 2028 opening and closing ceremonies.
