These agreements encompass a wide array of sponsorship inventory, including in-stadium branding on LED hoardings and external stadium imagery, as well as digital and social media integration, and team-specific, fan-focused, offerings.
For the Dodgers in particular, as an example, Kalshi will also become the naming partner of the team’s Gold Glove Bar offering.
Speaking on the logic behind the partnership, Kalshi head of sports partnerships Adam Barrick said: “The idea is that fans are already engaging with their favorite teams on Kalshi, so it only makes sense to extend that fandom to some of the most beloved baseball teams in America.”
Indeed, the firm claims that trading volume on Kalshi’s baseball-related markets has grown 36% year-on-year on 2025, illustrating the growing appeal of predictions wagering contrasted with traditional sports betting.
This year has already seen the MLB organization as a whole take steps to avoid regulatory trouble sa predictions markets firms such as Kalshi and Polymarket increase their interest in the competition.
In March, before the 2026 season began, MLB announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) agreement with the federal Commodity Futures Trading Commission (which oversees the prediction market industry).
Representatives from both parties meet on a regular basis as those two organizations share information with each other around integrity issues in professional baseball, and concerning any related prediction markets.
That may not help Kalshi in certain matters, however, such as the fact that in the state of Massachusetts (home of the Boston Red Sox) Kalshi is barred from operating sports-based markets, part of an ongoing dispute over whether or not gaming laws apply to the predictionsa market.
Polymarket is the league’s official partner in the prediction market space, and also recently struck a short-term agreement with the iconic New York Yankees franchise.
Kalshi, for its part, has targeted high-profile MLB teams. The five franchises collectively boast 30 World Series titles, including five of the last eight titles, and 11 of the 26 World Series titles since the turn of the century.
Of the five partnered franchises, four currently hold a postseason playoff berth – with about a month to go in the 2026 MLB regular season – and only the San Francisco Giants boast a negative win/loss record.
