Inter Miami, the Major League Soccer (MLS) club, and German sportswear giant Adidas have announced an extended five-year partnership.

As part of the renewed agreement, Adidas will have a presence within Inter Miami’s new stadium, with a “prominent footprint” within the venue’s official club store.

The store, which is claimed to be the largest in MLS, will feature an Adidas experiential component on both levels.

Inter Miami’s Nu Stadium and the club’s official store will open on April 4.

In addition, adidas will receive inclusion for in-district sports fields within Miami Freedom Park, inclusion on Inter Miami CF’s preseason tours, social media integration, and in-stadium signage.

Adidas CEO, Bjørn Gulden, said: “I’m extremely impressed seeing the investment here and hearing the plans that Inter Miami CF has for this city. It’s one of the anchors for growing soccer in America. I’m looking forward to the first game.

“We believe in the project, and I'm also sure we will extend after the five years. We are really excited about the future both for Inter Miami and, of course, for soccer in general in this country.”

Adidas has been one of Inter Miami’s earliest partners, serving as a sponsor since the club's inception six seasons ago.

The brand is also the team’s kit supplier through its league-wide deal with MLS. Inter Miami’s Adidas kit is the top-selling kit in the league, largely due to the presence of Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.

Inter Miami have announced several commercial deals this month, most notably securing a stadium naming rights agreement with Brazilian digital financial services company Nu under a multi-year deal.

The club renewed and expanded its deal with Lowe’s, elevating the home improvement company to sleeve sponsor, and extended with battery manufacturer Duracell.
