France Télévisions, the domestic public-service broadcaster, has agreed a sublicensing deal with commercial network TF1 to provide coverage of the upcoming UEFA Women’s Euro national teams soccer tournament and this year’s Women’s Rugby World Cup.
As part of the agreement for the Women’s Euro, France Televisions will air 12 matches from the competition, including France’s match against Wales on July 9.
The broadcaster has also acquired two quarter-finals and a semi-final of the tournament, which will take place in Switzerland from July 2 to 27.
For the Rugby World Cup, meanwhile, France Télévisions will also broadcast 12 matches, including the opening match between the USA and England on August 22, as well as France’s fixtures against Brazil (August 31) and South Africa (September 7).
TF1, however, retains the right to broadcast two quarter-finals (including that of the French team if they qualify), the semi-final of the national team if they reach that point, and the final on September 27.
The 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup will be held in England between August 22 and September 27.
