The Wallabies, Australia’s national men’s rugby union team, have announced an extension of their naming-rights partnership with domestic travel agency Flight Centre for the Rugby Championship national teams competition for another three years.

The partnership, which first began last year, will cover the Wallabies’ tournament against New Zealand, South Africa, and Argentina until at least the 2027 edition.

Additionally, Flight Centre has expanded the agreement by signing on as an official partner of the Wallabies for this year’s British & Irish Lions Series.

Flight Centre Global MD Andrew Stark said: “We are incredibly proud to announce this historic partnership with the Wallabies, marking the largest sponsorship deal in Flight Centre's history.

“This collaboration reaffirms our commitment to supporting global sporting teams that embody the same values we cherish and that resonate deeply with our customers.”

The Wallabies' season begins on July 6, 2025, with the Wallabies vs. Fiji in Newcastle, Australia, followed by the British & Irish Lions Tour from July 19 to August 2 in Australia's Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney.

The Flight Centre Rugby Championship runs from August 17 to October 4, taking place across South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, with the Wallabies Spring Tour set to run from October 25 to November 23, 2025.

Last month, it was revealed that the Rugby Australia (RA) governing body made a significant annual loss of A$36.8 million ($23.4 million) in the 2024 financial year, with the body pinning its financial hopes on this year's Lions tour of the country.

Last year's sizeable loss followed the rugby union body losing A$9.2 million throughout 2023, and indeed, the 2024 figures exceed the loss suffered in 2020, while the coronavirus pandemic was raging – A$27.1 million.

Commercial activity carried out by RA last year included deals with brands including Dove Men+Care, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Cadbury.

In terms of long-term financial planning, RA enters into a new domestic media rights deal in 2026, with Nine Network, on more lucrative terms than its current tie-up, while Australia will host the men's Rugby World Cup in 2027, and then the women's 2029 RWC.
