As part of the deal, F1 TV Pro and F1 TV Premium, the competition’s premium streaming service that provides live race coverage and other content, will be sold directly via FanCode, adding to the sport’s visibility in the region.

FanCode first landed F1 rights in a last-minute deal ahead of the 2024 season, with the previous edition covered in India by the F1 TV streaming service. Before that, the series had been covered by Star Sports between 2016 and 2022.

FanCode co-founder Yannick Colaco said: “This expanded deal firmly establishes FanCode as the home of all things F1 in India, and we’re excited to keep serving one of the country’s most passionate and fastest-growing sports communities.

“Fans have shown tremendous trust in our platform, and we will continue to deliver on their expectations, whether through livestreams, enhanced features or curated F1 community experiences.”

The new agreement begins with the upcoming 2026 F1 season, which will see the debut of two new teams in Audi and Cadillac and new sporting regulations, as well as the rookie season of Arvid Lindblad, of Indian heritage, who has recently been signed by Racing Bulls.

The extension comes with F1 experiencing an explosion of popularity in the region, becoming one of the fastest-growing sports, with a fanbase of 79 million. During its first two years airing F1, FanCode has hosted fan screenings across India to increase engagement and secure new fans.

The rights bolsters FanCode’s motorsports portfolio which also includes motorcycling’s elite MotoGP series through 2027. Along with motor racing, FanCode boasts extensive soccer, golf, and cricket rights.

Ian Holmes, chief media rights and broadcasting officer of F1, said: “FanCode has elevated our broadcast for our passionate Indian audience to
ensuring they are able to feel the adrenaline and excitement of a race weekend from the comfort of their homes.

“We look forward to continue working closely with FanCode and finding new,
innovating ways to engage our fanbase in India and its subcontinents.”

F1 has been working to consolidate its broadcast partners ahead of the 2026 season, most recently securing Japanese commercial network Fuji TV as its exclusive partner until 2030.

The most significant agreement this year has been with streaming giant Apple, which will take over from international sports broadcaster ESPN as the series’ broadcast partner in the US for the 2026-30 cycle in a deal reportedly worth $700 million in total.

Other F1 deals secured this year include, Coupang Play (South Korea), Globo (Brazil), Sky (New Zealand), Sky Sports (Mexico), Arena Sport (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia), CME (Croatia and Slovenia), and Play Sports (Belgium).

Meanwhile, the Aston Martin F1 team has renewed its long-standing partnership with construction manufacturer JCB ahead of the 2026 season.

The renewal builds on the pair’s original agreement struck in 2019, which saw JCB’s machinery play a key role in the construction of the team’s campus which opened in 2023, with the facility’s wind tunnel becoming operational in 2025.

Jefferson Slack, Aston Martin F1’s managing director of commercial and marketing, said: “Our partnership with JCB is built on shared values and a genuine belief in the power of British engineering.

“From becoming Aston Martin, to helping us construct our new campus and now supporting our ambitions for the future, JCB has been with us every step of the way. As we head into a new season, we're proud to continue this journey together.”

The 2026 F1 season will incorporate 24 races across five continents, including the Japanese Grand Prix on March 29.
