FanCode, the Indian digital sports-focused streaming service, has snapped up rights to two upcoming UEFA (European soccer) tournaments.
Through deals unveiled yesterday (June 3), FanCode will cover the UEFA Women's European Championships, as well as the Under-21 Men's Championships, live and exclusively across both TV and digital platforms.
Both national team tournaments take place over the coming months – the Women's Euro is being held in Switzerland between July 2 and 27, while the Under-21 men's event is running from June 11 (next Wednesday) to 28, in Slovakia.
Commercial and media rights for the Women's Euro this year are handled and sold by the CAA Eleven agency.
The previous edition of the tournament, held in England three years ago and won by the host nation, was covered in India and the subcontinent by the Sony Pictures Networks (SPN) broadcaster.
In terms of recent deals announced for the Women's Euro, late April saw SVT, the Swedish public-service broadcaster, come on board.
