The FA Cup, English soccer’s domestic knockout cup competition, has found a broadcast home in Germany again after global sports streaming service DAZN secured the rights for the next three seasons.

The agreement also includes the Community Shield, the curtain-raiser for the top-flight English domestic season contested between the Premier League and FA Cup winners.

DAZN’s coverage for the new 2025-2028 cycle began with yesterday’s Community Shield, where Crystal Palace defeated Liverpool on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Wembley.

The FA Cup and Community Shield were not shown in Germany last season as no broadcaster secured an agreement with the English Football Association for the rights. DAZN was the previous rightsholder before the 2024-25 season.

In terms of English soccer content in Germany, rights to the top-tier Premier League and second-tier English Football League are held by pay-TV giant Sky.

DAZN also recently retained rights to Spain’s LaLiga in Germany and Austria for a further five years.
