Extreme H, the nascent hydrogen-powered off-road racing series, will see its inaugural World Cup later this month gain worldwide coverage after securing global sports streaming service DAZN as its latest broadcast partner.
Under its agreement, DAZN will make its coverage of Extreme H free-to-air (FTA), starting with Extreme E’s ‘Final Lap’ event on October 4 and 5, which will mark the end of the electric series before it is replaced by the hydrogen-based series.

Coverage will then continue with the inaugural Extreme H World Cup from October 9 to 11, with both events hosted by Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya City.
DAZN Group chief executive Shay Segev has now said: “Extreme E Final Lap and the inaugural FIA Extreme H World Cup are great additions to DAZN’s portfolio of exciting motorsport content.
“By making the series available in English for free to fans around the world, we’re ensuring the largest possible audience can experience the thrills of hydrogen racing.”
Extreme E launched in 2021 and enjoyed wide coverage until last year, when it canceled the remainder of its 2024 season after events in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and Scotland to prioritize its transition to hydrogen.

By GlobalDataThe FIA had initially planned for Extreme H to become an official world championship for 2026, but in December last year, it announced the launch of the Extreme H World Cup this year instead.
The new hydrogen event will feature an off-road race format to showcase the viability of hydrogen power as a clean energy solution. Organizers will also prioritize gender parity within motorsports by fielding teams that have an equal number of male and female drivers.
Throughout this year, Extreme H has looked to beef up its broadcast partnerships as it gears up for its debut, securing major deals that will see it remain in key markets.
Just this week, the series has secured a partnership with Dutch sports broadcaster Ziggo Sport, while adding Mexico and Central America to its US rights agreement with Fox Sports.
Coverage in Asia will come via SPORTV, the pan-regional pay-TV network, which will air the World Cup in Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Hong Kong, Laos, Macau, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.
In July, the series landed a major broadcast partnership with media giant Warner Bros. Discovery to provide coverage of the series in more than 50 territories across Europe via its Eurosport channels, with UK and Ireland coverage coming via its TNT Sports network.
It then secured further coverage in the UK through a separate agreement with commercial broadcaster ITV.
In May, the series announced a significant rights deal in India with Sony Pictures Network stretching across linear and digital platforms and secured international sports broadcaster ESPN for coverage in Latin America, covering Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Chile.
Italian broadcaster Mediaset, meanwhile, has also struck a deal to cover the 2025 Extreme H season, after holding the rights to Extreme E since 2021.
