Trade and investing platform eToro has doubled down on its backing of English rugby union by adding the top-tier Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR), becoming the first company to sponsor both the country’s men’s and women’s competitions.
Under the new partnership, eToro gains naming rights to PWR’s 'Try of the Week' award from the start of the 2025-26 season.
The company said the new agreement with PWR forms part of its campaign to close the gender investment gap.
Launched in June 2023, rebranded from Premier 15s, PWR was established to deliver a 10-year strategy for women’s rugby in England through a partnership between the Rugby Football Union and the 10 clubs participating in the PWR competition and the Allianz Cup.
The new sponsorship comes a day after it was announced that UK public broadcaster the BBC had secured a free-to-air rights package to show a selection of PWR matches across the 2025-26 and 2026-27 seasons.
Specifically, the broadcaster will stream one live match every week of the season, plus one semi-final and the final on its BBC iPlayer platform and the BBC Sport website and app.
