Heavyweight sports broadcaster ESPN has snapped up rights in Australia and New Zealand for Australia's upcoming men's cricket tour of the Caribbean.
ESPN will air all eight matches from the Australian men's team's series against the West Indies, running from June 26 to July 29 (with three test matches and five Twenty20 encounters scheduled).
This will mark the first time ESPN airs an Australian overseas cricket tour since launching as a broadcaster in that market 30 years ago.
In the West Indies, domestic coverage of the series will also be provided by ESPN, with the broadcaster's Caribbean arm having struck a significant, long-term deal with the Cricket West Indies governing body in November last year.
The last test series played in the West Indies against Australia took place in 2015, with the visitors winning the two-match series 2-0, while a two-match series in Australia in early 2024 finished 1-1.
The Australian men's team are currently playing in the ICC World Test Championship Final for the 2023-25 cycle, against South Africa in England. That game, as with all International Cricket Council major events, is being broadcast in Australia by the Amazon Prime Video streaming service, through a December 2023 tie-up, as well as by the Seven Network.

A deal to that effect runs through the 2030-31 Australian cricket season, having been announced in early 2023.
