The second-tier English Football League (EFL) soccer structure in the UK has extended its licensing deal with the popular Football Manager computer game.
As part of the renewed deal with SEGA (which owns the Sports Interactive brand that produces Football Manager), the EFL’s 72 teams and five competitions will all be fully licensed in the 2026 edition, which will be released in November.

The long-running game has been an official licensee of the EFL since 2014, and the agreement between the pair dates back to 2004.
The last renewal between the two was signed in 2023.
The contract extension will see Football Manager and the EFL collaborate on shared content initiatives and fan engagement activities.
Earlier this month, Football Manager revealed that multiple women’s competitions will be debuting in the game this year.
