Dyn Media, the German sports streaming platform, is set to split into two sister companies – Dyn Sport and Dyn Media.
Dyn Sport will be responsible for the firm's market presence in the end-customer business, including acquiring rights and subsequent marketing to the end customer.

Dyn Media, meanwhile, is set to be responsible for broadcasting operations, the production of both live and on-demand content, and the "development of editorial and technological solutions for leagues, associations, rights holders and media brands."
The split is being done in order for Dyn to appeal more to the B2B sector, the site has said.
The management team overall will remain unchanged, although founder Christian Seifert will move into the position of executive chair and will also assume chairmanship over the shareholders' committee.
Seifert, former head of the German soccer league, officially launched Dyn in August 2023.

By GlobalDataSeifert has now commented: "Dyn's new structure reflects this reality and sets an important course for the future. With two clearly defined companies, we are creating the foundation to strategically advance our growth areas – as a logical continuation of what we have built since Dyn's inception. Together, they form the basis for sustainable growth in the media market."
Dyn's most recent sports rights move came in late January, when the streamer secured exclusive handball rights covering Europe's EHF Champions League, EHF Champions League Women, and EHF European League competitions until 2030.
The deal maintains Dyn’s dominance over major handball rights in Germany and comes just months after it also secured a deal with the EHF for the 2026 European Championships men's and women's national teams tournaments.
The OTT platform’s stable of handball competitions additionally includes the men's and women's domestic Bundesliga competitions in Germany.
