The Dubai Sports broadcaster has secured exclusive rights to Dutch soccer's top-tier Eredivisie for the next three seasons.

Through an agreement unveiled earlier this week, Dubai Sports (part of the Dubai Media empire), will provide exclusive coverage of the 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28 Eredivisie seasons across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions.

Last season, MENA fans of the 18-team Eredivisie could find games shown live via the Starzplay pay-TV broadcaster, which bought rights in a one-season deal.

The MENA region has provided many iconic Eredivisie players in recent years, with 12 Moroccans currently contracted, alongside several others from countries including Algeria, Iran, Egypt, and Tunisia.

This deal comes after the Eredivisie and heavyweight sports agency IMG extended their international rights tie-up for another five seasons, last October. The agency has sold global media rights to the Dutch league for over 20 years.

In terms of other European soccer properties' MENA broadcast rights, StarzPlay is showing this season's Italian Serie A, while Qatari broadcaster BeIN is covering France's Ligue 1 in the region through 2029, as well as Spain's LaLiga through 2027-28.

Domestically, live coverage of the Eredivisie for a Dutch audience will be provided by the ESPN sports broadcaster until 2030, with free-to-air highlights provided by public-service broadcaster NOS.

With a handful of games left in the Eredivisie 2024-25 season, Ajax sit top of the table, seven points ahead of PSV Eindhoven (who have one game in hand).
