The Indiana Pacers, of North American basketball’s NBA, have announced a new five-year rights deal with international sports streaming service DAZN, which becomes the franchise’s new exclusive regional broadcast partner through the 2030-31 season.
Under the new deal, DAZN, which is a relatively nascent brand in the US, will stream 22 regular season games for free on its platform, with 15 of those to be made available on a local broadcaster due to DAZN not having a traditional linear outlet.

The local broadcast partner will be announced ahead of the 2026-27 season, which starts on October 20.
Access to the remaining 49 games will be available via a DAZN ‘season pass’ costing $119.99 per season, with those signing up before October 15 to receive an early-bird pass for $59.99.
A monthly pass is available for $19.99, and DAZN has said it will offer additional discounts and promotions throughout the season. The platform is also offering a free seven-day trial before subscribing.
Alongside DAZN’s coverage, the Pacers will have 11 games aired live on national television via ESPN, NBC, or Prime Video to complete the team’s 82-game broadcast schedule.
Mel Raines, president and chief executive of Pacers Sports & Entertainment, said: “This partnership is about making Pacers basketball more accessible than ever before.
“Local sports broadcasting has evolved significantly over the last decade and so has the way people watch games. DAZN is a global leader in sports streaming, and its premium viewing experience gives our fans more flexibility and affordable access to Pacers basketball, while creating more opportunities to connect with the team.”
The Pacers will oversee production of the broadcasts, and DAZN’s offering will include pre-game and post-game coverage, highlights, behind-the-scenes content and more.
The new deal ends a period of broadcast uncertainty for the Pacers after Main Street Sports Group, owner of previous regional broadcast partner FanDuel Sports Network, announced it was winding down operations earlier this year, forcing the Pacers to search for a new partner.
DAZN has already secured a regional broadcast deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves and is set to partner with several of the 13 NBA teams whose rights are on the market following Main Street’s withdrawal.
DAZN Group chief executive Shay Segev said: “We are excited to welcome the Indiana Pacers to our growing network of sports coverage in the US. The Pacers have a strong fan base in a city that loves its teams, and we are ready to support those fans and bring in new ones by providing coverage and content throughout Indiana and the Midwest.
“As the exclusive regional home for this upcoming season, our built-for-sport platform will make the viewer experience seamless and unforgettable.”
The deal also comes shortly after DAZN made its long-awaited entry into the US local-broadcast market, sweeping up the local rights to New York’s NBA, MLB (baseball), and NHL (ice hockey) teams through a pair of new carriage agreements with MSG Networks (MSGN) and YES Network.
As part of the new carriage agreement, DAZN becomes the exclusive direct-to-consumer streaming home of seven elite New York-area (city and state) sports teams – the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets (NBA), New York Yankees (MLB), and the New York Rangers, New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres, and New Jersey Devils (NHL).
At the beginning of 2026, DAZN was in talks to acquire the now-defunct regional sports network operator Main Street Sports Group (MSSG), and with it a wide swathe of local MLB, NBA, and NHL rights, but that deal never came to fruition, with MSSG then falling into insolvency following the 2025-26 NHL campaign.
