It will also gain exclusive rights to the three competitions in Germany and Austria from the 2026-27 season after the ACB’s current two-year deal with German sports-focused linear channel Sportdigital ends.

DAZN’s new global rights deal will begin with the 2025 Supercopa, set to be played in Malaga, Spain, on September 27 and 28, and will run through the 2026 Copa del Rey, taking place from February 19 to 22.

The streamer said its coverage this season will see 1,700 matches aired live and on demand, with extra content, including interviews, highlights, special programs, and content dedicated to the teams of each matchday.

As part of the agreement, one Liga Endesa match per week will be made free-to-air for those registered with the DAZN app.

Along with the new rights, DAZN announced it will launch a new basketball subscription offering priced at €14.99 per month or €109.99 on an annual basis.

Oscar Vilda, DAZN chief executive for Spain and Portugal, said: “The ACB is one of the most exciting and widely watched leagues in Europe.

“This long-term agreement reinforces our commitment to sports fans and confirms that DAZN is their destination of choice. We want to offer them the best experience, and we will offer a new program dedicated to basketball, bringing the excitement of each matchday to every corner of Spain.”

The new deal comes shortly after the ACB announced DAZN as its new domestic rights partner, putting an end to its long-standing partnership with Telefonica-owned pay-TV network Movistar.

The three-year deal, signed in July, covers every round of Liga Endesa from 2025-26 to 2027-28, including post-season playoffs and league-ending finals, as well as the Copa del Rey.

Under that deal, DAZN is set to offer one match per week for free via a partnership with a free-to-air broadcaster.

The OTT service is reportedly in talks with Spanish public-service broadcaster RTVE, which held the rights prior to Movistar, to facilitate that free-to-air broadcast commitment.

That new domestic deal came as a blow to Movistar, which has focused on its basketball offering in recent years, particularly in its coverage of the top Spanish teams, for which it renewed its rights to the pan-European EuroLeague competition earlier in 2025 (rights it won from DAZN).

For DAZN, on the other hand, this move helps the OTT service consolidate its strong presence in the Spanish sports market. Alongside Movistar, DAZN holds rights to Spanish soccer’s elite LaLiga, among other prominent pickups in recent years.
