In this role, Atos will work alongside the South American body to develop new online and mobile solutions for the Libertadores (top-tier) and Sudamericana (second-tier) men's cup competitions, with the aim of improving the digital experience and engagement levels of fans.

The deal stretches across the Libertadores and Sudamericana, as well as the Women's Libertadores, the men's Recopa one-off clash, and the eLibertadores esports tournament.

It has been signed off after the 2025 Copa Libertadores came to an end over the weekend, with Flamengo defeating fellow Brazilian side Palmeiras 1-0 in the final on November 29.

Alejandro Dominguez, Conmebol's president, has said: "We are convinced that this agreement will further strengthen quality, efficiency, and fan engagement across all our digital platforms.”

Both parties are committed to enhancing the overall digital modernization of Conmebol, they have claimed.

Nelson Campelo, head of Atos South America, added: "This partnership with Conmebol is another important step in our mission to bring continuous innovation to our partners through disruptive solutions. By transforming the way millions of fans experience football, we reinforce our ability to deliver high-performance technology and an outstanding digital experience."

Atos, in terms of its soccer sponsorship presence, has a long-term deal in place with European body UEFA, running until 2030.

It was also a TOP sponsor of the Olympic Games for a significant period of time, before that relationship came to an end after the Paris 2024 Olympics. The last agreement between Atos and the International Olympic Committee was valued by GlobalData at $60 million annually.

Conmebol, meanwhile, has a deal in place with IMG – that heavyweight agency handles commercial and media rights for the array of Conmebol club competitions via a deal running for the next five years.
