For the Hawks, this new agreement will see Cisco install its ‘high-performance’ Wi-Fi 7 technology across State Farm Arena, enhancing the wireless network infrastructure at the venue to support the provision of services across the venue, speeding up ticket access, payments at concession stands, staff communications, and other critical systems, while also better allowing for the dissemination of information to fans utilizing Wi-Fi at the arena.
Cisco will also power the new production center at the State Farm Arena to power live game broadcast production.
Speaking on the announcement, Hawks and State Farm Arena chief technology officer says the partnership “strengthens our foundational backbone to deliver exceptional experiences for fans, artists, and guests.”
For Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment (BSE), Cisco has now extended the pair’s partnership beyond the Barclays Center home, which Cisco has supported since its opening in 2012.
The pair’s deal now spans Barclays Center, Nets operations, the WNBA’s New York Liberty, the NBA G League’s Long Island Nets, and the teams’ respective training centers, as well as hospitality and entertainment operations across each.
Focused on in this deal is connectivity, with Cisco seeking to bring the tech infrastructure of each area of BSE’s portfolio closer.
Cisco’s relationship with the Cavaliers spans close to 20 years, and with this new expansion, will also cover the team's new Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center practice facility.
This trio of NBA franchises joins Cisco’s wide-ranging sponsorship portfolio, which also includes the iconic Madison Square Garden venue (home of the New York Knicks), the McLaren F1 motor racing organization, the United States Golf Association, and eight NFL franchises.
