Brazil-based YouTube channel Canal Goat has acquired a package of rights for women’s basketball’s elite WNBA for the 2025 season.

Under the deal, Canal Goat will broadcast up to 32 WNBA regular-season games, all playoff matches and finals games, as well as the All-Star game on July 19.

The rights add to Canal Goat’s portfolio of women’s competitions, including the US top-tier National Women’s Soccer League and the women’s Copa Libertadores Femenina, the South American club competition.

Its YouTube channel also has rights to show the Saudi Pro League, Brazil’s third-tier Série C do Brasileirão, the Copa Argentina domestic cup competition, and the Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol Americano American league.

The WNBA has been expanding its reach, with talented young stars Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese significantly boosting the league’s profile and appeal.

Clark's return to Iowa’s Carver-Hawkeye Arena for the WNBA preseason game between the Indiana Fever and Brazilian national team averaged 1.3 million viewers on the international sports network ESPN.

Last year, the league extended its rights deal with Amazon Prime Video, which will see the streaming service continue as the exclusive domestic streaming partner for 21 WNBA fixtures each season, including the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup championship game.

That deal also covers much of the globe outside the US, with Prime Video holding exclusive streaming rights outside the following territories: China, Japan, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Finland, and Germany.

Canal Goat has previously held rights to show action from German soccer’s Bundesliga, as well as the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana South American club competitions.
