The Aston Martin Formula 1 (AMF1) motor racing team has announced new partnerships with cloud computing company CoreWeave and smartphone brand Realme.

The multi-year deal with CoreWeave sees the firm become the team’s official AI cloud computing partner.

Through the tie-up, CoreWeave will support AMF1 in relocating its on-premises computing infrastructure to a new, large-scale cloud computing environment.

The move “eliminates hardware constraints and enables the team to operate with greater agility, efficiency, and performance.”

In addition, the F1 team’s new wind tunnel, which came online in early March, will be named the CoreWeave Wind Tunnel.

Lawrence Stroll, executive chairman of the Aston Martin F1 team, said: “In the fast-paced world of Formula 1, AI cloud computing infrastructure is a decisive edge, and CoreWeave’s cutting-edge platform, purpose-built for accelerated computing, will be instrumental to unlock new levels of performance.”

Meanwhile, AMF1 and Realme have teamed up in a multi-year strategic license agreement to launch the team's first co-branded smartphone.

The brand’s GT 7 Dream Edition smartphone was rolled out this week and incorporates the Aston Martin team logo.

Together, AMF1 and Realme plan to develop two models annually.

The UK-based team has secured several commercial deals for this season, most recently partnering with US investment platform Public.

Earlier this year, AMF1 also added cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase as a new partner, while Saudi Arabian mining and metals firm Ma'aden was upgraded to principal partner.
