Unite32, which has formed specifically for the project, will oversee the delivery of 17 new and upgraded venues across Queensland while monitoring two additional facilities.
The program spans the Gold Coast to Cairns, representing one of the latest Olympic venue projects in recent history.
The 2032 Games will center around a new 63,000-seat Olympic stadium in the Victoria Park area of Brisbane, alongside a new National Aquatic Center and Olympic Village. Construction for Victoria Park has already begun, with initial site investigations and drilling starting in October 2025.
The aquatic venue is planned with a permanent seating capacity of 8,000, which can expand to 25,000 during the Games.

By GlobalDataThe Brisbane 2032 Games will be the third time Australia has hosted the Olympics, following Melbourne in 1956 and Sydney in 2000.
Simon Crooks, GIICA’s chief executive, said: “Since GIICA was established in November 2024, the Authority has pulled together a team of experienced, committed professionals to deliver the most ambitious sporting venues program in Queensland’s history – 17 new and upgraded venues across the state ready for 2032.
“Today, with the engagement of Unite32, we have the ability to scale the team at pace, complement our strengths and enhance our Games and mega event experience to ensure we leverage the learnings and successes of pervious Olympic and Paralympic infrastructure programs.”
AECOM brings considerable experience to the table, having been involved in every summer Olympic and Paralympic program since London 2012.
Most recently, it was appointed as the official venue infrastructure partner for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Under that deal, AECOM will work on the architecture and engineering of LA28’s venues, as well as the program management of their delivery, while its AECOM Hunt business will oversee the procurement process, cost estimating, scheduling, and construction management of the venue infrastructure.
AECOM will also help with LA28’s temporary venues and temporary overlays on existing permanent venues.
The delivery partner is the latest milestone for Brisbane 2032 after the Australian and Queensland governments finalized an agreement setting out how the country’s capped A$3.435 billion contribution will be applied to the A$7.1 billion venues program.
The GIICA also recently launched a tender process to appoint principal architects for the two major venues.
