SailGP, the global racing series, has renewed its media presence in Brazil, extending partnerships with major commercial broadcaster Globo and pay-TV cable service BandSports.
Globo, as the official broadcaster of the competition in Brazil, will broadcast every race from the series throughout the 2026 campaign on its Sportv linear channel, including live coverage of SailGP’s first race in the country, the Rio Sail Grand Prix, on April 11 and 12.

On the renewal, SailGP chief executive and co-founder Russel Coutts said: “Brazil has already proven to be one of SailGP’s most passionate and fastest-growing markets, so extending our partnership with Globo and BandSports into the 2026 season is an important step in maintaining that momentum.”
BandSports, which has broadcast SailGP since 2021, will also continue to showcase both live races and highlights.
SailGP announced in August 2025 that Brazil would stage its first race in 2026 and would follow that up with another in 2027.
