Global sports streaming platform DAZN has agreed a new tie-up with North America’s elite National Hockey League (NHL), becoming the global carrier of the league’s NHL.TV international streaming service.

The multi-year deal will begin with the upcoming 2025-26 NHL campaign, ahead of which the NHL.TV service will be migrated to the DAZN platform, with current subscribers set to receive instructions on how these changes may affect them.

DAZN will carry NHL.TV as both a standalone service, and as a paid add-on to its existing packages.

NHL.TV is the international streaming option for NHL games, and as such is unavailable in the US and Canada, as well as the Nordic region of Europe Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden) where the league has a strong TV partnership with Viaplay.

Additionally, in active NHL.TV markets, certain games earmarked for linear TV coverage (for example, in Germany and Austria where Sky holds rights) will be blacked out while live, then added to NHL.TV on-demand after-the-fact.

The 2025-26 NHL season will begin on October 7, and then run through the season-ending Stanley Cup playoffs in June 2026.
