
Swiss pay-TV player MySports has struck an exclusive deal with North America’s National Hockey League (NHL) for the rights to the elite ice hockey competition in Switzerland across the 2025-26 campaign.
MySports, the pay-TV sports vehicle of telecoms firm Sunrise UPC, will show over 300 NHL fixtures across the season, which will begin on October 7, including every game from the post-season playoffs and the season-ending Stanley Cup finals.

In anticipation of the first puck drop of the 2025-26 campaign, MySports will offer a discount on its annual package available until October 6.
The MySports partnership will work in concert with the free-to-air highlights deal the league has in place with CH Media’s free TV24 channel, as well as the league’s own NHL.TV international platform, which is now offered via DAZN.
In Switzerland, the DAZN app is offered by the Sunrise TV platform, deepening the integration between the league and one of the country’s top pay-TV sports players.
Switzerland is one of Europe’s strongest ice hockey markets and has been a priority for the NHL in recent years, with the league going so far as to host pre-season exhibition fixtures in the country against sides from the Swiss domestic National League as recently as 2022.

By GlobalDataIndeed, there are more than 10 Swiss players currently active in the NHL, making it one of the most-represented nationalities outside the US and Canada in the league, including four-time All-Star Game participant and Nashville Predators team captain Roman Josi.
The addition of the NHL for the 2025-26 campaign has helped MySports to consolidate its status as the country’s primary broadcaster for ice hockey.
In August, Sunrise secured an extended eight-year flagship rights mandate for all National League games through 2035, a partnership that also includes free-to-air coverage sub-licensed to CH Media (among others).
MySports also holds the Swiss rights to Europe’s elite Champions Hockey League, showing all games from the tournament (national network SRG will also show games if a Swiss team competes in the semi-final or final).
The tournament was won by Swiss side ZSC Lions in the 2024-25 campaign.
