Dedicated motorsports streaming platform MAVTV has struck a three-year deal for US broadcast rights to the FIM Speedway World Championships motorcycling event.
The deal has been struck by MAVTV with Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports Europe, the championships’ global promoter.
The 2024 season of Speedway Grand Prix World Championship action will get underway in Croatia on April 27.
Laura Manciet, Speedway World Championships director, has said: “Our American fans have a huge passion for the sport, and I am delighted to confirm they will be able to watch every lap of the 2024 season on MAVTV.
“As a network that covers such a wide range of motorsport, MAVTV is the ideal platform to bring FIM Speedway to viewers who may not have experienced the sport before, as well as to introduce our fans to MAVTV’s extensive range of live action and motorsport documentaries.”
In addition to Speedway action, MAVTV will also provide highlights coverage of the FIM Endurance World Championship – another motorcycling sports property promoted by WBD Sports Europe.
