The organizing committee for the Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games (LA28) has brought Musco Lighting in as a new commercial partner.
Through a deal, Iowa-based Musco becomes the sports presentation and broadcast lighting provider for the two flagship events, as well as Team USA.

It will be responsible for the provision of all 'field-of-play' lighting at the games, as well as the lighting for other aspects of the Olympics and Paralympics, such as the post-event presentations.
Musco was also a partner of the last Olympic Games to take place in Los Angeles in 1984.
Reynold Hoover, LA28's chief executive, commented: "Musco Lighting has a storied history of bringing presentation excellence to fields of play in our city, dating back to the last time the games came to town.
"We are excited to partner with Musco to ensure our venues shine brilliantly and deliver an unparalleled viewing experience.”
In terms of LA28 commercial activity, late April saw the International Olympic Committee (IOC) unveil heavyweight international bank JPMorganChase as a new sponsor, in a deal that also covers the Los Angeles Olympics as well as Team USA.
JPMorganChase has become the first global banking sponsor in the history of the Olympics.
In March, meanwhile, LA28 brought in Ticketmaster and Sports Illustrated Tickets (SI Tickets) as the verified resale platforms for the games.
Jeff Rogers, Musco Lighting's CEO, added: "Musco’s first involvement with lighting Olympic venues was the 1984 Games in Los Angeles. Forty-four years later, our team is enthused about the opportunity to partner with LA28 and Team USA.”
In other Olympics-related news, the IOC has initiated its search for a new head of media rights.
A job advertisement was posted online earlier this week, the Olympic body said the role "carries full responsibility for revenue generation across the global media rights portfolio in a highly strategic and international environment."
The position will be based at the IOC's headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The IOC is on the lookout for "an established commercial leader with a strong track record in media rights, ideally within a broadcaster, sports agency, or sports governing body."
It has noted down four main areas of responsibility: sales and negotiation; servicing; rights protection; and leadership.
Mid-May saw the IOC deal with the Marketing & Media Solutions agency for broadcast distribution rights across the 2026-32 cycle in Sub-Saharan Africa.
As part of the agreement, MMS will distribute free-to-view rights across 44 territories to the summer (2028 & 2032), winter (2030), and youth (2026 & 2028) games.
The IOC now has agreements in place in the vast majority of territories for the 2026-32 cycle (which actually began with the 2026 Winter Olympics earlier this year, in Northern Italy).
