HBO Max, the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned OTT streaming service, has expanded its live sports portfolio by offering matches from the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) series on a pay-per-view (PPV) basis.
The streamer will begin offering live broadcasts of AEW’s PPVs on September 20 with its ‘AEW All Out’ event in Canada, with its US customers having to pay $39.99 per event. All PPC events will be streamed without ads.

The programming schedule for All Out includes supplementary content in the run-up to an event, including AEW Saturday Tailgate Brawl: All Out, which will be aired by TNT and HBO Max ahead of the September 20 event.
AEW PPVs will continue to be available for purchase on other platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, across the US, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
The agreement expands on AEW’s long-standing relationship with WBD, which sees AEW’s two main shows, ‘Dynamite’ and ‘Collision’ air on its TBS and TNT channels, respectively.
A renewal of that agreement has seen HBO Max simulcast the two programs live each week, as well as provide on-demand replays. The streamer also gives subscribers access to all AEW PPV special events through the end of 2024 on demand, as well as all episodes of AEW Dynamite from its first two years.

By GlobalDataThe new deal comes during a strong period for AEW programming on WBD networks, with the content reaching more than 11 million viewers across TBS and TNT platforms so far in 2025.
The new offering comes two months after WBD announced the launch of HBO Max in an additional 12 markets in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, taking the number of international territories where the service is present to 89.
Depending on the territory, HBO Max will host WBD-owned sports rights, including grand tour cycling (which is a strong draw on its streaming services), UCI World Championship cycling, grand slam tennis (another strong draw), and a variety of other sports, including motorcycle racing and winter sports.
AEW, meanwhile, has seen its global coverage grow, most recently with SPOTV Now, the pan-regional sports streaming service of South Korean broadcaster Eclat Media Group, acquiring exclusive rights to offer AEW events across Southeast Asia via PPV.
Earlier this year, AEW struck a free-to-air deal with UK commercial broadcaster ITV, which continues to show weekly episodes of AEW programming, with AEW Dynamite broadcast every Friday night and AEW Collision every Wednesday night on the ITV4 linear channel and the ITVX streaming service.
The renewal, which covers 2025, marks ITV’s sixth year as AEW’s free-to-air UK partner, having first broadcast AEW Dynamite in 2019.
