Molotov, the French live TV streaming platform owned by FuboTV, has agreed a non-exclusive carriage agreement with French soccer’s top-flight Ligue 1 for the 2025-2026 season.
Through a tie-up with the LFP, the French club soccer governing body, the service will carry Ligue 1+, the new in-house direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform recently launched by the league to broadcast the majority of its matches domestically.
Customers who subscribe to Ligue 1+ on Molotov will have access to eight of the nine live matches each gameday, with a delayed broadcast of the additional match (shown in France by the BeIN Sports pay-TV broadcaster).
As part of the agreement, subscribers will also have access to exclusive shows, in-depth game analysis, documentaries, match replays, and club-specific programming, produced by Mediawan.
Last week, Prime Video, the OTT streaming heavyweight owned by e-commerce giant Amazon, agreed a carriage deal for Ligue 1+. The service launched on Prime Video on August 11.
Telecom and TV heavyweights Bouygues Telecom, Free, Orange, and SFR, as well as the DAZN OTT service, are also hosts of the DTC offering.

By GlobalDataAccording to LFP Media director general Nicolas de Tavernost, the Ligue 1+ service, which debuted with the opening fixtures of the new season last weekend, has already secured more than 600,000 subscribers, matching DAZN's figures across “the entirety of last season.”
The LFP executive, who was hired earlier this year, is hoping to exceed 1 million subscribers by the end of the season.
The move adds to Molotov’s soccer offering, which includes the 2026 FIFA World Cup and Coupe de France domestic cup competition through its carriage of free-to-air channels such as TF1, M6, and France TV.
FuboTV, the US-based live TV and sports streaming service, acquired Molotov in 2021 for €164.3 million.
The French platform, founded in 2015, remains based in its home country and is led by co-founder Jean-David Blanc, who was also appointed president when FuboTV completed its acquisition.
