The Professional Fighters League (PFL) mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion has signed a multi-year media rights agreement with FSM Rights, a division of major US network Fox Corporation, across Mexico and Central America.
Under the agreement, Fox will become the exclusive regional home of PFL’s MMA products and provide content across its Canal Fox (pay-TV), Fox on Tubi (AVOD/FAST), and Fox One (SVOD) platforms.

John Martin, CEO of the Professional Fighters League, said: “This region is home to one of the most passionate combat sports communities in the world. Fox’s reach across pay TV and streaming will accelerate our growth and elevate our athletes on a massive stage.”
Luis Maldonado, director of programming and marketing for Fox Latin America in Mexico, added: “Fox is committed to delivering premium sports and entertainment experiences to audiences across Latin America.
“PFL’s innovative approach to MMA, global footprint, and elite roster of athletes make it an ideal partner for our platforms.”
A key focus for PFL is to also secure a new media rights deal in the US, with the promotion’s existing agreement with sports network ESPN expiring later this year.
In a recent interview with GlobalData Sport (Sportcal), Martin, who was appointed as CEO in July last year, stated that agreeing a new deal in PFL’s home market is his “biggest priority” this year.
ESPN has agreed several renewals with PFL since initially acquiring rights in 2019, with the most recent extension – a multi-year agreement – struck in 2023.
The broadcaster, however, recently lost rights to UFC, with media giant Paramount securing a blockbuster seven-year, $7.7 billion agreement, putting ESPN in danger of potentially losing two MMA properties if a renewal with PFL isn’t reached.
