Eurosport, the Discovery-owned pan-European sports broadcaster, has acquired rights in Germany to next year’s European Men's Handball Championship, having sealed a deal with the European Handball Federation (EHF).

The terms of the agreement, which is sub-licensed by the German sports streaming platform sportsdeutschland.tv, will see the network provide live and free coverage of up to 18 games throughout the championship, including both semi-final matches and the final.

Sportdeutschland.tv, meanwhile, will show all games via a tournament pass available for €12 ($13.60).

The tournament is set to take place in Hungary and Slovakia from January 13 to 30.
