Premier Sports, the pay-television operator in the UK and Ireland, has secured rights to the DFB-Pokal German soccer cup competition for the 2021-22 season.

The first-round coverage will kick off with Bremer SV hosting 20-time competition winners Bayern Munich on 6 August, followed by Wehen Wiesbaden taking on defending DFB-Pokal champions Borussia Dortmund on 7 August.

The third match to feature will be the 9 August clash between Kaiserslautern and Borrusia Monchengladbach.

Subsequently, Premier Sports will show two matches per round up to and including the semi-finals, with the final to take place next May.

OneFootball, the digital soccer platform, showed DFB-Pokal matches in the UK for part of the 2020-21 season.

The DFB-Pokal joins other soccer content on Premier Sports, including Spanish soccer's LaLiga, via the LaLigaTV channel, and Scotland's Scottish Cup and Premier Sports Cup.
