Advanced Info Service (AIS), the major telecoms firm in Thailand, has doubled down on its golf coverage after adding the DP World Tour’s ongoing 2026 season to its rights portfolio.
The deal will see AIS air the rest of the 2026 DP World Tour season exclusively on its AIS Play streaming platform, beginning with the tour’s first tournament on its international swing, the Dubai Invitational, which runs from January 15 to 18.

The 2026 DP World Tour season started in November 2025 with the Australian PGA Championship and features 42 events, ending with the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai on November 15, 2026.
The new rights add to AIS’s golf offering, which includes the US PGA Tour and women’s LPGA Tour, as it looks to increase golf’s popularity in the country after Fifa Laopakdee became the first Thai to win the PGA Asia Pacific Amateur Championship to earn himself a place in the Masters and The Open Championship this year.
AIS’s deal with the PGA Tour was struck in November, giving it exclusive live broadcast rights to all major PGA Tour events, including the FedEx Cup Playoffs and Presidents Cup, which it will also air on AIS Play.
Richard Bann, chief revenue and content officer of the DP World Tour, said: “Thailand is one of the countries with a loyal and rapidly growing golf fan base in Asia.

Rungthip Charusiripipat, head of entertainment business at AIS, added: “This partnership not only reflects AIS Play’s vision to transition from a general entertainment provider to a strong sports content hub but also represents a key piece that will help AIS PLAY become the leading streaming platform beloved by Thai sports fans.
“We remain committed to curating quality content to deliver unlimited joy and entertainment.”
AIS is looking to position itself as the country’s premier sports and entertainment provider, having also secured a multi-year rights deal to show the ATP men’s tennis tour from the 2026 season.
It also holds rights in the country to soccer’s top-tier English Premier League and France’s Ligue 1, as well as American football’s NFL and basketball’s NBA.
Last August, the telecoms firm landed a deal with women’s sport-centric TV channel W-Sport, which was made available on the AIS Play app and the AIS Playbox channel.
The deal gives customers access to action from major women’s soccer leagues such as Germany’s Frauen-Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A Femminile, the United States' USL Super League, and Sweden’s Damallsvenskan.
For the DP World Tour, the deal is the latest commercial agreement after adding brewing giant Anheuser-Busch InBev to its stable of partners earlier this week.
Ahead of the 2026 season, the tour ramped up its commercial activity, starting with a decade-long renewal of its title sponsorship deal with global logistics heavyweight DP World until 2035.
This new deal has been described as the largest in the tour's history and includes DP World continuing as its official logistics partner.
The tour announced Amazon Web Services, the e-commerce giant’s major internet services business, as its official cloud provider last month while also renewing its partnership with cybersecurity firm Fortinet.
The tour also managed to secure a major long-term broadcast extension with UK pay-TV broadcaster Sky, which will continue its tournament coverage through 2029.
